Big Timber Media – Free access to children’s nonfiction titles through June 20,2020.

KanopyKanopy is a much loved service GPL subscribes to. It provides to online streaming of 3 movies or documentaries per month, and access to children’s shows and book videos through Kanopy Kids. Kanopy is offering credit free viewing (specific titles that don’t count against your monthly count) and unlimited access to Kanopy Kids through May 31, 2020. 

LightboxA great homeschool resource available through August 1, 2020. Interactive nonfiction with videos, web links, activities, maps, quizzes, vocabulary and more. Books provide grade and curriculum guides.

OverdriveOverdrive, one of our most popular ebook platforms, has expanded the amount of items you may have checked out to your account at one time. The limit of 3 has now been raised to 5.  Overdrive has limited copies of ebooks, so to keep holds lists short, they are asking that patrons return their items once they are done rather than simply letting the item expire.

National Emergency Library – The National Emergency Library has suspended waitlists on their lending library through June 30, 2020, or as long as the emergency requires. This database supports remote teaching, research activities, independent scholarship, and intellectual stimulation geared toward higher education.

SebcoBooks – Free access to fiction and nonfiction titles for all ages.  Access through June 30, 2020.

TumbleBooks – TumbleBooks’ databases are easy to use, and feature unlimited access from home! Read as many books as you want, when you want, and on any device. There are no check-outs, holds, or bulky downloads. Books are available instantly. GPL usually only subscribes to TumbleBookLibrary for kids, however, TumbleBooks has provided free access to the following databases until August 31, 2020.

World Book – World Book Online is a great resource for distance learning and non-fiction e-reading. GPL currently subscribes to World Book, however World Book is offering expanded access to their digital resources with your library card number through April 30, 2020. Check out their resources for parents and teachers as well!
