Going back to school is such an exciting time: school shopping, meeting new teachers, and making new friends. Soon classes will be in full swing, and while it can sometimes be hard to transition from reading “just for fun” to book reports and research projects, we want to make the transition as smooth as possible. That’s why DC-G Schools and GPL have teamed up to offer Classroom Connect.

Classroom Connect debuted last spring, providing free access to online Library resources for all DC-G students and staff. By visiting Classroom Connect at you can access resources  geared toward students of all ages, parents, and educators. Resources are available via your 5-digit student or staff ID unless noted otherwise, no library card required! It’s one small way we can ensure all of our students have the same access to reliable, up-to-date, and age appropriate information.

As we enter the new school year, we are excited to introduce CreativeBug and World Book Online to our Classroom Connect lineup.

Creativebug is the number one inspirational resource for DIY, crafters and makers. It boasts more than 1,000 award-winning art & craft video classes for both kids and adults taught by recognized design experts and artists. Simply choose your project and enter the class, complete with video instruction, materials lists, and discussion forums.
