We have lots of programs and activities going on at the Library this summer! From balloon artists and magicians to sand castles and mad scientists--there's something for everyone! Click here for dates and a full schedule of programs.

Summer Reading Clubs:

Note to all reading club participants: The reading weeks run from Monday to Sunday. Turn in your reading logs starting on Monday of the next week to earn Book Bucks.

Read-to-Me Reading Club

(For children ages Birth to Kindergarten)

Read 5 books from the Grimes Public Library per week with an adult or older sibling and you'll earn 2 Book Bucks each week.

Bring in your Book Books anytime to spend at the Library Loot Store.

Read-on-My-Own Reading Club

(For students in 1st through 6th grade)

Read at least 60 minutes per week from books checked out from the Grimes Public Library and earn 2 Book Bucks each week.

"Make Waves" Teen Reading Club

(For students starting 7th grade through High School)

Tweens and teens read a variety of materials and earn points based on the number of pages read. The more points you earn, the more prizes you get! If you earn over 1500 points your name will be entered in the Grand Prize drawing for a $25 gift card. Visit the library to sign up and get all the details.

Teen Tuesdays @ the Library: Come to the library every Tuesday from 2-4 pm for time with friends, a snack, and different activities every week. Visit the teen page for more details.
