|Do you know someone in Grimes who could use a ride to the doctor?
Grimes Volunteer Support Services was incorporated in 2010 to meet an unmet need for seniors and others within the Grimes area. Initial planned services will be transportation to medical appointments. As volunteer availability allows, GVSS will be expanded to assist with shopping, attending church and social events, and other assistance. All services must be based upon volunteer availability and scheduled in advance.
Are you looking for a place to volunteer your time?
GVSS needs your help in developing and providing our services to the community. All of our services will be dependent upon volunteer availability. Whether it's help with taking phone calls, scheduling assistance, keeping records, raising funds, or driving folks to appointments or the supermarket, we need you. Volunteers can specify what they want to do, how often, and what days they will be available.
For more information please call 515-321-8051 between 9-11 am on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Fridays, or visit the GVSS website here.
