Lego (R) Building Contest: Building for Dr. Seuss 1pm (from Mar 02, 2013 01:00 PM to Mar 02, 2013 02:00 PM)

The theme for this contest is "Building for Dr. Seuss." Build an original creation out of Legos(R) and bring it to the library to show it off and get judged in 3 categories: best use of theme, creativity, and most impressive. All ages are welcome, but please register in advance so we can reserve space for you. Some building ideas: If Dr. Seuss asked you to create something to put in one of his books what would you make? Creatures, places, vehicles, inventions? Use your imagination to build something really wild, wacky, and magical. Build something inspired from a Dr. Seuss book. Create something that you would like to see in a Dr. Seuss book.

Tail Waggin' Readers, 9-11 am (from Mar 02, 2013 09:00 AM to Mar 02, 2013 11:00 AM)

Improve your reading skills and make a new friend by reading aloud to a therapy dog! Students in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th grade may sign up for a 20 minute time slot to read to a therapy dog partner. Please call the library to register, 986-3551.
