Meet your Youth Librarians!

Miss Fionn

Fionn recently moved to the Grimes area after receiving her Master of Library Science at the University of Washington. Her focus is on early childhood literacy and Fionn loves working crafts into her activities whenever she can!

Miss Janet

Janet has lived in Grimes for over 20 years. With an elementary teaching background, children are Janet's love and joy. She provides programs for toddlers and babies. Hugs are always welcome!

Miss Kelly

Kelly has been with the library since 2011 and works mostly in the evenings and on Saturdays.   With her background in science education, Kelly loves the opportunity to educate during her programs while still having fun!

Storytime is a fun way to encourage language, literacy, and social skills in pre-k children. They include songs, rhymes, books, snacks, and play! We offer Baby Lapsits as well as Toddler, Preschool, and Family Storytimes.

Storytime Schedule

Early Out Adventures with Fionn provide students with an activity when DC-G schools dismiss early. They run from 1:30-2:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted and can range from crafts and food, to movies and video games, to reading marathons!

A Summer Reading Program is a free and fun way to encourage kids of all ages to read even when school isn’t in session. Kids receive prizes as they reach reading milestones and the fun culminates in an End of Summer Reading Party. Stay tuned to see what’s in store for next summer!
