Paving/Construction Library Closed, June 20/21
The Grimes Public Library will be having its parking lot repaved/resurfaced on Thursday and Friday, June 20th and 21st. The library will be CLOSED to the public. Library items will NOT be due on those two days.

The June 21st Trucks and Diggers Program is reschedule for Friday July 19th @ 10am.

Zinio allows you to read your favorite magazines on your e-reader, tablet, or smartphone. The Library's collection includes: Consumer Reports, Country Living, Men's Health, Popular Science, Seventeen, and US Weekly, along with MANY others.

TumbleBooks is a website with a collection of talking, animated picture booksfor younger children.  TumbleBooks features interactive books that are read aloud to the child.  For older children, there are read-along books with narration and sentence highlighting.

TumbleBookCloud Junior is an online collection of ebooks and read-along chapter books, graphic novels, videos, and audio books! It's designed specifically for kids in grades two to six. Read on your computer or any mobile device with an internet connection.

Looking for more books like your favorites? Want to find a new author? Can’t remember all the titles in a series? NoveList Plus has the answers!
NoveList Plus is part of the EBSCOhost family of databases. It offers readers advisory information about fiction and popular non-fiction for all ages.

Wilbor with ebooks The Grimes Library has expanded its WILBOR services to include eBooks available to download from the library's website.  Library card holders can check out and download eBooks anytime, anywhere by visiting the WILBOR website. You may check out a total of 3 eBooks and eAudiobooks at one time.  Titles will automatically expire at the end of the 14-day lending period.

Need help checking out eBooks?  Feel free to call or stop by the library anytime and we'll help you get the books you want.  With so many different eReaders available we will do our best to help with yours. 

Some helpful instruction guides:

Looking for a job?  The Iowa Workforce Development's IowaJobs website is a great place to start with 24 hour access to the thousands of jobs listed in the IWD's statewide system.  You can create an account and search for jobs based on your unique qualifications, and post an electronic resume that will be searchable by Iowa's employers.  Iowa Workforce Development's homepage is where you can file an unemployment insurance claim, register for work opportunities, find the latest information on the labor market in Iowa, and much more.  Visit www.iowaworkforce.org for all the information.
