Just a reminder that all Storytimes will be on hiatus from May 1-June 1 as we take time to prepare for another exciting Summer Reading Program but.....

In the UK it's National Share-a-Story Month. We like this idea so much we're going to borrow it! If you come into the library and read a story with your kids, we'll take a picture of you reading and enter you into a drawing for a story time kit. Or, you can tag us in a facebook picture of your family reading together and we'll enter you into the drawing. Let's get ready for summer reading with lots of shared stories!

Iowa jobs

Looking for a job?  The Iowa Workforce Development's IowaJobs website is a great place to start with 24 hour access to the thousands of jobs listed in the IWD's statewide system.  You can create an account and search for jobs based on your unique qualifications, and post an electronic resume that will be searchable by Iowa's employers.  Iowa Workforce Development's homepage is where you can file an unemployment insurance claim, register for work opportunities, find the latest information on the labor market in Iowa, and much more.  Visit www.iowaworkforce.org for all the information.

You may also try these other sites: Indeed: One search. All Jobs.  The "For Jobseekers" web page is brought to you by Iowa's Library Service Areas.  Find links to other job searching sites, advice for applying and interviewing for jobs, and information on creating resumes.
